Just a short walk from the festival grounds, El Chorro Regional Park is your basecamp for a weekend of frolicking and late-night adventures. Tent, car, or RV—it doesn’t matter how you roll, as long as you’re here to make it one for the books.

  • General Campgrounds: Located in the Bishops Loop, suitable for tents, cars, and RVs without power. Includes 
3 non-potable washing stations.
  • RV/Car Campgrounds: Located in the Chumash and Romauldo Loops, offering hookups at all sites.
  • Sites vary in size and length; please share your RV details during ticketing to ensure proper placement.
  • No sewer dump services are available upon exit.
  • Respect your assigned space. Late changes may not be accommodated.
  • Do not camp or block roads/walkways
  • No “space saving” for friends arriving later.
  • Minimize waste: bring only what you need and remove packaging at home.
  • Be a good neighbor: keep noise down late at night and early in the morning.
  • No in-and-out vehicle privileges: vehicles moved after placement will lose their pass.

  • Security personnel reserve the right to prohibit items seen as harmful, dangerous or not in the best interest of the festival and its patrons.
 

At Shabang, we believe in preserving the natural beauty of our environment. Help us protect this special place by planning to take everything you bring with you back home, or by utilizing our Waste Collection Stations to dispose of items responsibly.

  • Bring Your Own Trash Bags: Sort your camp’s waste into compost, recycling, and landfill.
  • Free Waste Drop-Off: Sorted waste can be dropped off at our collection stations free of charge.
  • Unsorted Waste Fees: Unsorted waste will incur a fee based on bag size.
  • Bulky Item Disposal: Large items like camp gear can be accepted, though fees may apply.
  • Donate Usable Items: Items in good condition can be donated instead of discarded.

  • Only if you want to camp next to your car inside the campgrounds. A car pass allows you and 4 friends to camp with you at your car site. 
  • No, the car camping pass is good for 5 people in the car max. 
  • A car pass is for a standard car (Sudan, SUV, Truck, or camper van less than 25ft ). An RV pass if for a truck and trailer, a large camper van over 25ft, or any size RV. 
  • There are limited RV sites located in the Romauldo and Bishop loop. Depending on the size of your RV or truck and trailer, our team will assign you a designated RV site that will be reserved specifically for you. It will have your name on the placard in front of the site. All RV sites have full hookups. 
  • With your car pass, you can bring up to 5 people in your car (including yourself). If you have friends that cannot arrive at the same time, but are a part of your 5 person group, you will be given camping wristbands when you arrive and will be responsible for providing them to the rest of your group when they arrive. 
  • If you arrive at the same time, then our staff will do their best to place you next to each other, but this is not guaranteed and you might have to camp separately. 
  • When you buy your RV passes, our staff will reach out to you to work on reserving a site based on your RV size, at that time you can communicate that you wish to be next to your other friends RV’s. Our staff will do their best to accommodate, but we cannot guarantee that everyone will end up next to each other as spaces are limited and are determined by size of vehicle. 
  • Once parked, vehicles are not permitted to leave the campgrounds until Sunday morning due to safety reasons. Campers are allowed to come and go as they please on foot. 
  • NO FIRES are allowed at the campsites per the county fire marshall. Anyone lighting campfires in the campgrounds will immediately be removed from the campgrounds with no re-fund and may receive a fine from the park ranger.
  • Washing stations are not provided. Attendees are expected to wash their dishes in a cleanly manner at their campsite. The campground faucets are not to be used as dishwashing stations. 
  • Unfortunately, for the safety of all attendees, pets are not permitted within the campground. If you arrive with a pet, you will not be allowed to enter. 
  • A small speaker is fine, but large speakers, amps or subwoofers are not allowed. We ask that all attendees respect their neighbors and keep any music to a reasonable noise level and keep it down after 12am.
  • Load in is on Friday May 2nd, from 9am to 5pm. If you cannot arrive before 5pm, please email camping@shabangslo.com and notify them so that they can plan your arrival after hours.
  • Load out is 9am – 2pm on Sunday, May 4th.
  • There are potable water spigots near all the campsites as well as bathrooms/handwashing stations that are spread out around the campgrounds. Additionally you’ll have access to volleyball courts, baseball fields and the beautiful San Luis obispo Botanical Gardens right next to the campgrounds. We will also have an activation space in the meadow with live music and camp games throughout the weekend!
